The base walk circles the full 10.6km of Uluru at ground level, past rock art, sacred sites and the kind of quiet that gets into your bones. Kings Canyon rim walk delivers some of the most dramatic scenery in central Australia, sandstone cliffs, ancient rock formations and the hidden green valley known as the Garden of Eden waiting at the bottom.

Then the Field of Light dinner happens and the whole trip shifts into something else entirely. Champagne in hand, Uluru glowing behind you as the sun drops, thousands of illuminated spheres blooming across the desert floor as far as you can see and that sky above you doing what only an outback sky can do.

You'll be sleeping in a Australian envelope swag, a canvas bedroll laid directly on the red earth, fully open to the sky. Not a tent, not a cabin, no walls between you and the desert sky.
It's how generations of Australians have slept in the outback and it's a bucket list experience in itself.

It's rugged, not luxe but it's not full dare-o either. Think authentic outback camping with proper showers and toilet facilities in designated campground with a camp kitchen and phone charging fascilities.

On our final night, we trade the swags for 4-star accommodation for our fancy field of lights dinner.
Think hot showers, soft beds, a bit of glam and a glass of something cold in hand for a beautiful dinner together with Uluru as the backdrop to toast the women you've spent the trip with.
