We’ll meet in Rainbow Beach on the morning the tour begins. A specific time will be confirmed closer to departure, as it depends on tide schedules. You can either drive up early that morning from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, or arrive the night before and stay in local accommodation (such as a backpackers). On our last expedition, about half the group chose to arrive the night before and half drove up early in the AM—totally up to you! The nearest airports are Hervey Bay or Sunshine Coast Maroochydore.

There’s a good chance you might—K’gari (Fraser Island) is home to Australia’s purest wild dingo population. While sightings can’t be guaranteed, they’re quite common. It’s really important to respect these animals by keeping your distance, never feeding them, and always following safety guidelines. Our guides will brief you on how to safely enjoy seeing these incredible native animals.
We’ll be glamping in spacious, safari-style tents—think adventure with a touch of comfort. Each tent comes with proper mattresses, pillows, and cozy bedding so you can rest well after full days of exploring. The campsite has clean shared bathroom facilities with hot showers and toilets, so you’ll stay fresh and comfy throughout the trip. It’s the perfect mix of being immersed in nature without totally roughing it!
