Two countries
 One wild adventure

Close your eyes for a second. You're standing at the base of three granite towers that rise straight out of a glacial lake. The wind is doing that Patagonian thing where it sounds like the earth is breathing. Your legs are tired. Your face is flushed. And you are thinking....
I cannot believe I am actually here.

That moment is Day 3 of this expedition after hiking the extraordinary Torres hike.
Our Patagonia expedition is two countries, one wild landscape and 7 days that will squeeze some of the best bucket list experiences of Patagonia.

Torres del Paine in Chile. The Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina.
Horseback riding through river valleys. Ice cracking off a 74-metre glacier wall into turquoise water. A farewell dinner at the bottom of the world with women who've just lived through all of it beside you.

23rd March - 29th March

Raw. Remote. Real.

This expedition does not hold back and neither will you. We've curated every single day to make sure you squeeze every last drop out of Patagonia. Ride on horseback through the Serrano River valley with the Paine Massif ahead of you. Hike to the legendary base of Las Torres.
 This is ICONIC!

Stand at the edge of a glacier that's been growing for 18,000 years and watch ancient ice collapse into turquoise water right in front of you.

And if you really want to go ALL in? We've added an optional ice trekking experience on Perito Moreno Glacier. You'll see this breathtaking glacier as part of your standard experience, but the add-on takes it to another level entirely. Strap on crampons and actually walk on 18,000-year-old ice. This is one of those experiences you will talk about for the rest of your life and we cannot recommend it enough.

The group can split on this day so there's zero pressure, but if hiking on a living, breathing glacier sounds like your kind of bucket list adventure... you already know the answer.
Pack your sense of adventure, your warmest layers, your good vibe energy and your camera.
Patagonia is ready for you.

do you cater to dietary requirements?

Can my partner come?

This expedition is just for the gals!

What do I need to pack?

We'll send a full packing list closer to departure. Since many of you are joining us from Antarctica or the Galápagos, we know suitcase space is precious, so we've kept it realistic. The essentials: layers (Patagonia weather can throw all four seasons at you in one day), a waterproof and windproof jacket, a sweat-wicking base layer, and sturdy hiking boots that are already broken in before you arrive. Honest note from Steph: I once did this in sneakers and survived, but boots will serve you much better!

What about the horseback riding — is there anything I need to know?

This activity has guidelines set by the local operator, including weight restrictions of 90kg.  Please email us to chat through all the details and we can sort out an alternative.
No biggie at all, just reach out and we'll sort it together.

What is the weather actually like in Patagonia?

We visit in March, which is late summer and the sweet spot for Patagonia. Expect daytime temperatures up to 22°C, dropping to around 4°C at night. That said, Patagonia is famously unpredictable. Wind, rain, and sunshine can all happen in the same afternoon, and the wind especially can make it feel much cooler than the temperature suggests. Layers and a quality waterproof jacket are a must, and a good positive attitude!

How fit do I need to be for the hike?

You need to be a reasonably active person who is comfortable walking for several hours a day on uneven terrain.

You don't need to be an athlete, but you do need to be able to handle full walking/hiking days with elevation. The trekking day inside Torres del Paine is the most demanding with a 22km hike which involved 7-10 hours of hiking. The famous Base Las Torres hike is a big day out but absolutely worth every step.
A bucket list must for Patagonia which is why we added it into the itinerary. I've done this hike myself and once you make it to the top, it is stunning!!

What you do need is positive energy, a good attitude, and the willingness to put one foot in front of the other. The payoff at the top is completely worth every step. You will be sore the next day, this is why we have made that day a travel day...
rancho relaxo!

Is tipping expected in Chile and Argentina?

Tipping is customary in both countries. In restaurants, 10%- 15% is standard. For guides and drivers, tipping is genuinely appreciated and a significant part of their income.
We recommend carrying some small USD or local currency (Chilean Pesos / Argentine Pesos) in cash for this purpose.
